When I bought my machine it also had very jerky controls when the motor was above idle. I followed all the good advice on here for resolving the problem and did find some loose screws on the steering plate but couldn't get the controls to smooth out.The problem occurs when you apply either RH reverse or LH forward control stick with both actions causing a snatching movement. When both stick controls are applied simultaneous both forward or reverse the motion is smooth.
