1997 mustang 2040 skid steer Hello, My Mustang 2040 skid steer starts but stalls after 3 seconds. I have tried bypassing the fuel cut off relay which works but locks out the hydraulics. So i have eliminated that. The seat and seatbelt switches were bypassed when i bought the machine so that has also been eliminated.I replaced the charge pressure switch.

G'day, After parking up my 2040 the other day i came back 2 days later started her up and found she had no hydraulics what so ever. I shut her down and found she was low on hydraulic oil. I put about 3-4 gallons in her and made no difference. Also the back left tyre was flat, not sure if that. Mustang 2040 Hydraulic Fill. I have a 1997 mustang 2060 skid steer the machine was recslled for a steering linkage. The recall ended in 1999 I never had a problem intill now. The dealer wants 9.95 for parts does anyone have photos of the parts I want to make them myself. HELP
Hello, I am having an issue with my Mustang 2040 skid steer. I lost all power to the ignition switch and cannot work out why. Is there a fuse or relay somewhere between the battery and the switch? All of the fuses on left hand side of the cab are intact so it cant be these ones. Problems started in the summer. Skid steer died on a slope and would not start. Drug it to level and it fired and ran, without any more problems. It did it a few more times, over the next month or so, but not always on a slope . It always started right back up. I changed out the fuel filter, thinking it was something in the fuel.
I just bought a '00 Mustang 2040 with 1,600 hours on it. I am the third owner. The first owner was a rental company (need I say more), and the second owner was a private contractor. It came with all of the manuals and repair & service documentation. The engine always starts on the first click and sounds great.
1) Brake locks won't release, or drag clickety-clack in cold (30°F to 45°F) weather even after the engine, and presumably the hydraulic oil, is warmed up. Any ideas? 2) Hydraulic oil temp. gauge doesn't work. Where in the world is the sending unit? 1997 Mustang 2040: In a very short period of use my hydraulic reservoir fluid level goes way up. After about 5-10 minutes using the machine the level will go from normal cold level, to over half up the fill tube/dip stick. The fill tube and dip stick are about two feet in length.
