I recently purchased a case 1816b (for 0!) the skid has a tecumseh OH160 on it right now. I would like to throw on one of them predator engines on it (the tecumseh is on its way out and I can't find parts).

I looked at the various repower kits available, and decided to build my own repower kit. Looking at the 530 kit from Small Engine Warehouse, it does look like a pretty simple kit to build. I went with a Honda Clone (Chinese-built GX620), and it has been great. If you look in the Repower section, I did a similar repower on my 440b, replaced a Kohler Magnum 18hp with a 20 hp Launtop (Chonda). The 1816 is an easy repower. Just need the correct size pulley on the crank. and then bolt an engine in. You may need to fab up mounts or a plate for the motor mount.
