I bought a new cat 216 skid steer and need help. I can't figure out how to get float mode to work on this thing. You guys helped me before on my scat trak when I couldnt find float mode. and here I am again. got a cat 226 skid steer. the last couple of days i have notice that when i lower the arms, the contact in the joystick will stick and not release unless i. All that I have found on floating the work piece or arms is to put it in the indent. Exactly where is this, the operators manual does not explain this very well. Do you lower the arms as far as they will go or is it somewhere in between up and down.

On my cat you put the arms all the way down and hold the right trigger for 2 seconds and It floats, but I never tried it going forward.
