I have a Cat 262C skid steer with driveability/fuel issues. While driving it will begin to lose power, go slower and slower until it stops. It has done this in the past and i have changed fuel filter, still does it. Spent 00 on two Cat service calls and 0 on a new fuel transfer pump. Finally drained the tank and put in new fuel. Problem solved. Mine is a 236B2. Plug for the fuel tank was in the frame and hard to get at. Hope this helps. Replaced fuel cut off solenoid which fixed the shut off problem. Once you have only fuel flowing, then tighten bleeder or hose, ad see if it starts, If it does not, loosen the high pressure lines at the injectors and crank until you see fuel squirting, then tighten the lines and start engine.
