the CID mower weighs 1526 lbs. and my Case handles the weight of the mower just fine. we have a small creek that runs through our hay meadow. i used the mower to cut trees of 2" to 10" on the creek bank and let them fall in the creek. you can angle/tilt the mower down a slope such as the creek bank and leave the skid setting up on the bank.

What I've been told is this, if you can drive over the stuff with the skid steer, is about what you can mow with those mowers, as far as six inch tree's, if its a dry hardwood, yes it can do it, but the question is, for how long and how much will it cost in repairs, those decks and gear boxes are designed to mow brush and grass for long term . Overall I was pleased with the outcome. I think a wider mower would work better with my skid loader and I am intrigued by the cutters that are open front with part of the blade exposed. The open front cutters seem to be heavier built and would cut heavier brush. They are manufactured as low flow and as hi flow machines.
price youre being quoted is actually a really good price for that machine. especially with the brush cutter included. the < 74hp machines with radial lift are the lowest incidence of warranty claims we see in the shop among the skid steers and CTLs. the CID mower weighs 1526 lbs. and my Case handles the weight of the mower just fine. we have a small creek that runs through our hay meadow. i used the mower to cut trees of 2" to 10" on the creek bank and let them fall in the creek. you can angle/tilt the mower down a slope such as the creek bank and leave the skid setting up on the bank.
