Going to look at a 1988 Case 1825 skid steer tomorrow. He's asking 00. He says the machine runs great and the only issue is one hydraulic line going to the cooler seaps a little. It has 2900 hours on it which I'd say is pretty low considering its age. Comes with original bucket modified to be bigger and another aftermarket bucket.

I have an 1825, and it is my understanding, that the lift/tilt has a separate pump from the hydrostatic drive. The hydrostatic drive system, uses a charge pump, to 'prime' the hydro pumps (for lack of a better way of saying it ). You can feel the skid kinda slow down than you hear the load on engine pick up than it goes back to normal. Also noticeable on a decline in a road. When I drive down the road with a decline and it acting up you have to correct the steering to keep going straight. The Case 1825 is equipped with a radial-lift boom, 1-speed hydrostatic transmission, 60HT drive chains, and 5.70x15 standard tires. The skid steer loader has a maximum lift height of 98.2" (2495 mm) to hinge pin and dump height of 76" (1930 mm). As for the additives, I believe Case says you need some in their hydraulic fluid, but I have no idea what it does. Ask your Case dealer and see what you think. Ken

We have a Case 445 and absolutley love it. Has a foot throttle which after running ours, I hate running any skid steer that doesn't have a foot throttle. 2 speed is a must. Cab with heat/AC is nice for summer work and snow removal in the winter. Picked up a super-clean 1825 to do some light dirt work/grading for our acreage. Skids tend to bring a premium here in AZ, so I had a hard time parting with k for a miniskid. Current owner had it for 10 years, put about 200 hours on it, always garaged. A real nice and clean unit. However, recently (had it for about a year) when you are driving through thick mud or driving into a pile and working the boom at the same time, the engine will load up to the point that it will stall unless you let go of the controls. It is more so noticeable when its hot and been running for awhile.Find the dimensions, engine, operational, and loader specifications of the Case 1825B skid steer loader. Compare it with similar models from Gehl, John Deere, and Hyundai.
