A good friend of ours found his Bobcat too tight behind the bar... he cut the center out near the sides and remodeled some what to fit himself. Take a look at the schematic for the seat bar. It should answer all of your questions, just make sure to take a look at all of the bolts. Also, you should have a springs that need to be compressed.
