If it's not red then someone has changed it and in that case I recommend draining, flushing and refilling the system with ELC. If it's green the original coolant has been replaced at some time with regular anti-freeze. My vote would be to drain all the coolant, flush the system completely with water, and refill with coolant meeting Cat EC-1 specification. Are you sure of the type that is now in the machine? The colour might help figuring it out.
