I have a larger forestry machine with a Fecon head (which is admittedly older) and have done a demo with an FAE head. Fecon is going to bring me a skid steer head to demo. I was planning to go. I would use several FECON dedicated mulcher carrier machines. They aren't cheap so renting/leasing them for the duration of the job will probably be your best bet. A skid will get the job done, but the FECON built machine with carrier is more efficient. I've used a FECON mounted on a T300 and it was a good system.
There is a lot of mulching going on here for fire protection. Those big stand alone tracked mulching machines look like expensive money pits. Those full width skid steer mounted ones look like they would be hard on the machine.
